UNCP presents Raymond Hagmeier Endowed Scholarship Pembroke, NC - The UNCP Department of Athletics is pleased to announce the newest addition to its list of endowed scholarships: The Raymond Hagmeier Endowed Scholarship for Athletic Training. At each of the University's Season Ending athletic banquet, Athletic Training Program Coordinator Jim Wall is proud to present the inaugural award to rising athletes. In August of 2003, the first annual Raymond Hagmeier Golf Tournament was held at the Snoqualmie Falls Golf Course near Seattle, Washington. Forty-five golfers participated and began what looks to be a yearly tradition. All of the tournament's proceeds were used to establish the Hagmeier Scholarship, which will be presented annually to a UNCP student-athlete majoring in athletic training. The endowed scholarships offered by the University of North Carolina at Pembroke are a result of the generosity of alumni, community leaders, and friends of the University. They are a vital key to the success of our athletics program and afford UNCP staff the opportunity to recruit quality students to the Braves program.
